Parade Participation Disclosure: Political Policy

Belle Plaine BBQ Days is a non-partisan, community-focused celebration. To maintain the spirit of unity and family fun, the BBQ Days Committee maintains a strict policy regarding political activity.

For the parade on July 18th, 2026, no political campaigning, electioneering, or partisan signage is permitted. This includes, but is not limited to:

Campaign floats or vehicles for specific candidates.
The distribution of political flyers, stickers, or literature.
Signage advocating for specific parties, candidates, or ballot initiatives.

Units found in violation of this policy may be asked to remove the materials or may be disqualified from the parade lineup. We appreciate your cooperation in keeping this event focused on our local community and the BBQ Days tradition!

2026 Bull Run

We encourage participants to pre-register to guarantee an event shirt. Early-bird registration for the 5K is available for $20 through July 10. Starting July 11 through race day (July 18), the fee will increase to $30. Registration for the Kids Fun Run is $10 and is for ages 10 and under.
